Location: Danbury and Bristol, Connecticut
Schedule: Thursday - Saturday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Full Time)
Pay Rate: $17.75/hour

At Ability Beyond, We are dedicated to supporting adults with various disabilities, and we are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Supported Independent Living Programs team.

About the Role:

As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in empowering adults with disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives. This position requires you to be comfortable working independently, making decisions on the spot, and adapting to changing circumstances. You will support individuals in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to individuals in their homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and medication management.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Help individuals achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life.
• Adapt to various situations and make quick, informed decisions.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Enthusiasm and a passion for helping others.
• Interest in psychology, behavioral health, or mental health is a plus.
• Willingness to learn.
