Location: Danbury and New Milford, CT

Salary: $60,000 per year

Schedule: Monday - Friday

At Ability Beyond, we are dedicated to providing exceptional support to individuals in our supported independent living programs. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for those with mental health needs by fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Residential Program Manager to join our team in Danbury and New Milford.

Position Overview:

As the Residential Program Manager, you will oversee the direct care staff within our condo-style apartments, ensuring the highest quality of care and support for our individuals. You will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations, stepping in when needed, and ensuring effective communication with vendors, employers, appointments, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support direct care staff in delivering quality care to residents.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities and ensure their well-being.
  • Facilitate communication with vendors, employers, and appointments.
  • Maintain strong communication with residents' families and ensure their involvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Step in as needed to provide direct care and support to residents.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.


  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in direct care or human services, preferably with individuals with mental health needs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to be hands-on.
  • Ability to effectively manage and support a diverse team.
