Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities through evidence-based physical therapy interventions. This position would also lead and support a diverse team of clinicians (including SLP, OT, and PT). This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.
 
Pay Rate: $105,000 - $115,000 / year
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervises all Connecticut therapy staff (2 PT SLPs, 1 OT, and 1 Therapy Support Technician).
  • As prescribed by a physician, uses diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate individual level of functioning of an individual served. Determines, develops, and executes, as prescribed by a physician, individual physical therapy programs designed to restore function and/or improve the level of independence in functional activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and holistic support for individuals with disabilities.
  • Educates individuals, families, and direct care team members regarding exercise programs, adaptive equipment, transfer techniques, etc.
  • Prepares and monitors the operating budget for therapies.  Implements course corrections as needed.
  • Designs and implements quality assurance indicators to continually evaluate the delivery of therapy services.  Oversees clinical team in meeting requirements and proactive goals.
  • Holds accountability for meeting all regulatory funding and accrediting requirements. Acts as primary liaison with funders regarding therapy specific questions, audits or regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Physical Therapy required.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
